It begins..

Today, I take my husband home after a double bypass procedure.

We didn't know how bad the heart disease was.. Normal testing didn't show anything until a life saving ECG under stress was done. He didn't make it home from the test, straight to hospital and then a few days after into surgery.

We are the lucky ones, he has a guardian angel who has looked after him. His brother passed away only a few months ago, quickly and unexpectedly from heart disease. It is bitter sweet, without that happening the testing simply wouldn't have been done..

So here we are, a bullet dodged a guardian angel and a second chance at a new and active life.

Now, I want to wear my heart on my sleeve and raise some money for people's hearts..

This June I'll be feeling my heartbeat as I move a marathon distance to support people in Australia impacted by heart disease.
